Light Phone II
Light Phone II is a mobile phone designed to be used as little as possible. The phone provides essential tools only, including calling, messaging and an alarm clock, while further tools such as directions, a calculator, a music player and ride-sharing are in development. A black and white electronic paper display needs little power, offers strong contrast and stays legible in direct sunlight. The body is lightweight, splash-resistant and small enough for a pocket. Social media, email and data tracking are never included.
Light Phone II Mobile Phone by Kaiwei Tang has been selected as an innovative representation of industrial design by the A' Design Award. Light Phone II Mobile Phone won the Iron A' Design Award in Digital and Electronic Device Design in 2020. The A' Digital and Electronic Device Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design recognition program which celebrates outstanding design of smartphones, laptops, televisions, cameras, headphones, smartwatches, gaming consoles, tablets and more.
