Kintsugi

An object can break itself but doesn't lose its value and its beauty. This is the philosophy of the ancient Japanese technique of Kintsugi, which means “to repair with gold”. What is broken is not a loss but becomes more precious and unique. In the Japanese culture no object must necessarily be perfect: everyone tells its story. Time passes by and from the signs of his passing, it comes a form of beauty even more powerful.
